The ability to endure or carry on with an activity.

    New theme: Simplification

I finished a redesign of cubicle17 a few weeks ago, and as is my policy, I am making my old theme available for free to one and all. With nicely-sized, readable text, plenty of white space, and an elastic one-column design, Simplification is not only one of my simpler themes (which might be saying a lot), but it’s also one of my favorites.

If you’re in the market for a new theme, give Simplification a look.

I love Bill Israel’s theme work. Anything that simple requires a great deal of effort to achieve.

On December 13th in Brisbane Square there’s to be a protest against the government’s plan to filter the entire internet at an ISP level. It starts at 11am.

I’m not sure who is organising it, but http://www.myspace.com/nocleanfeed.

I’ve never gone to a protest in my life, not for war, not for trees, but I’ll go for The Internet.

Paedophiles won’t be stopped because they can’t google preteen gangbang action. (My tumblr’s so gonna be blocked.) These guys aren’t trading on Facebook, ok? Anorexia nervosa isn’t caused by a website, and, seriously, people dying from being TOO skinny ain’t something this country has to worry about. The entire web zeitgeist goes back to 4chan. You want no more 4chan?

There’s no benefits to a slowed, almost indiscrimently censored internet. We don’t need to be like China just because Kevin Rudd’s family is breeding with them.

    Spreading the word.

I won’t be able to go.

    All I want to be
Is someone that makes new things
    And thinks about them
